Destiny Exotic Weapons: The Complete List

Lately I’ve been hearing more and more of the same question, and it involves Destiny’s exotic weapons. What are they, where can I find them, what are their stats, and things of that nature. Well, in the interest of being able to answer those questions for anyone interested I’ve compiled the most complete list of every single exotic weapon inside the game. This will always be updated with the latest tools of destruction, so be sure to check back if you hear about something new and shiny!

Exotic Primary Weapons

As the name implies, these are going to be your main, go-to weapon within the game. These are made up of 4 different types of weapons: scout rifles, pulse rifles, auto rifles, and hand cannons.

Exotic Scout Rifles

These are semi-automatic rifles that have a high accuracy.

MIDA Multi-Tool

Where to find it: You can get this from loot chests within the Vault of Glass, as a random completion reward, or in a legendary engram.

Where to find it: You can get this after you get the “Vanguard Mentor Missive” as a random reward. Once you have it you can exchange it to Xander 99-40 for the exotic bounty “Toland’s Legacy”. After finishing it you’ll be rewarded with some Bad Juju.

You can get this as a reward during the Crucible, you can find it within loot chests inside the Vault of Glass, as a reward for completing the Vault of Glass, and inside legendary and exotic engrams. For the moment it is only available for PS3 and PS4 players, and will be the case until the Fall of 2015.

Your special weapons can dish out higher damage, but its more difficult to find ammunition for them. They are also less versatile, and are more situation specific in their use.

Where to find it: You can get this after you get the “Vanguard Mentor Missive” as a random reward. Once you have it you can exchange it to Xander 99-40 for the exotic bounty “A Dubious Task”. After finishing it you’ll be rewarded with Invective.

    Fate of All Fools bounty is not attainable, nor is the weapon. The bounty was likely created to allow the use of the weapon in Destiny, by the one person who it was gifted to, yet preventing others to ever get the weapon. Simple programming tactic I believe.
