Destiny: Warlock Skill Tree

The Warlock skill tree inside of Destiny is dependent on which subclass that you decide to go with in the game. Do you want to be a Voidwalker or a Sunsinger? Though thought of as the “mage”/ “spell caster” of the game, there are still differences within the class itself. The Voidwalker focuses on Void energy to destroy its foes with awesome damage. While having an awesome offense, this subclass can’t really take damage all that well as a result. The Sunsinger subclass in the game is a bit different, often being thought of as a support focused subclass with a bit of area control skills to keep enemies at a distance. Its definitely more defensive than the Voidwalker. The below outline of each subclass should help you to make your decision:

Voidwalker Grenades

Vortex Grenade: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 0) A grenade that creates a vortex which continually damages enemies inside the sphere.
Scatter Grenade: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 16,000) A grenade that splits into many submunitions and covers a large area with explosions.
Axion Bolt: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 149,500) A bolt of Void light which forks into smaller bolts on impact which seek toward enemies.

Voidwalker Movement

Glide: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 900) Double jump in mid-air to activate Glide.

Glide Modifiers
Focused Control: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 23,000) Upgrades Glide for better directional control while in the air.
Focused Burst: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 164,500) Upgrades Glide to provide an initial boost of speed.
Blink: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 257,500) A short distance teleport that replaces Glide.

Voidwalker Super Ability

Nova Bomb: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 5,000) Hurl an explosive bolt of Void light at the enemy, disintegrating those caught within its blast.

Nova Bomb Modifiers
Vortex: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 31,000) Nova Bomb creates a vortex which continually damages enemies trapped inside. Lasts 3.5 seconds.
Shatter: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 182,500) Nova Bomb splits into three projectiles.
Lance: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 302,500) Nova Bomb travels farther and faster.

Voidwalker Melee

Energy Drain: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 10,000) A powerful melee attack which drains energy from enemies and uses it to reduce the cooldown of your grenade.

Energy Drain Modifiers
Surge: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 40,000) Damaging an enemy with Energy Drain increases your weapon and movement speed.
Life Steal: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 203,500) Killing an enemy with Energy Drain immediately restores a significant portion of your health.
Soul Rip: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 347,500) Killing an enemy with Energy Drain reduces the cooldown of Nova Bomb.

Voidwalker Class Modifiers

Arcane Wisdom: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 16,000) Training focused on battle recovery and speed.
Arcane Spirit: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 89,500) Training focused on battle recovery and toughness.
Arcane Force: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 227,500) Training focused on toughness and speed.

Voidwalker Ability Modifiers

Annihilate: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 50,000) Increases the size of the explosion created by Nova Bomb and Vortex grenade.
Angry Magic: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 104,500) Nova Bomb tracks enemies.
The Hunger: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 392,500) Increases the duration of the Energy Drain effect.
Vortex Mastery: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 75,500) Increases the range of Axion Bolt seekers and the duration of the Vortex effect of Nova Bomb and Vortex Grenade.
Bloom: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 134,500) Enemies killed with any of your abilities explode.
Embrace the Void: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 482,500) Damaging enemies with Nova Bomb or any grenade triggers the Energy Drain effect.

Ancestral Order: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 62,500) Training focused on all attributes.
Chaos Order: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 119,500) Training focused on speed.
Divine Order: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 437,500) Training focused on toughness at all costs.

Sunsinger Grenades

Solar Grenade: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 0) A grenade that creates a flare of Solar Light which continually damages enemies trapped inside.
Firebolt Grenade: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 16,000) A grenade that unleashes bolts of Solar Light at nearby enemies.
Fusion Grenade: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 194,500) A grenade that causes bonus damage when attached to its target.

Sunsinger Movement

Glide Modifiers
Focused Control: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 23,000) Upgrades Glide for better directional control while in mid-air.

Balanced Glide: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 257,500) Upgrades Glide to provide bonuses to both speed and control.

Sunsinger Super Ability

Radiance: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 5,000) Fill yourself with Solar light, dramatically increasing the effectiveness of all your abilities.

Radiance Modifiers
Song of Flame: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 31,000) While active, Radiance reduces all cooldowns for nearby allies.
Radiant Skin: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 182,500) While active, Radiance reduces incoming damage.
Fireborn: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 302,500) Radiance can now be activated from beyond the grave. Doing so returns you to life.

Sunsinger Melee

Scorch: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 10,000) A powerful melee attack that ignites enemies, causing damage over time.

Scorch Modifiers
Flame Shield: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 40,000) Damaging enemies with Scorch reduces incoming damage for a short time.
Solar Wind (XP to Begin Unlocking: 203,500): Hitting an enemy with Scorch knocks them back.
Brimstone: (XP to Begin Unlocking: 347,500) Killing enemies with Scorch causes them to explode.
