The Destiny Gjallarhorn: A Review of this Exotic Rocket Launcher

You can get the Gjallarhorn by winning it in the Cryptarch lottery, buying it from Xur (17 Strange Coins), and as a random completion reward through PvE and the Crucible. This exotic rocket launcher is easily one of the strongest weapons you can find within Destiny, hands down. It causes Solar damage.

Destiny's Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket Launcher

This is a great weapon that can cause some insane destruction. The launcher itself will fire off some rockets, obviously, but after that has sentries that deploy where the rocket impacts in order to lay waste to your enemies that are close enough. Sure, some people might dodge that first rocket fire upon them, but they won’t be able to avoid the 2nd round that happens after that. This exotic weapon works quite well for long range and medium range battles due to its AoE.

The Gjallarhorn Downsides

Sadly, the actual raidius of the blast that comes from these rockets are lower than other rocket launchers tend to have in the game. The tracking missiles themselves can’t be counted on all that much, either. It should be mentioned that there isn’t a whole lot of solid customization with this gun, either. Quickdraw doesn’t help much with this one, so personally I’d stick to the aiming and reloading upgrades. You may disagree based on how you like to play, though. I’d stick to using your regular exotic in combat, and then bust this out if you have the heavy ammo and the timing and situation is right.
