The Destiny Monte Carlo: A Review of this Exotic Auto Rifle

At the moment the Monte Carlo is only available to those Destiny users playing via the Playstation 4. That should be changing some time in the Fall of 2015, however. Right now you can get this Exotic auto rifle either by doing the Crucible, for completing the Vault of Glass, within loot chests while doing the Vault of Glass, and it can also be found within legendary and exotic engrams. It causes Kinetic damage.

Destiny'sMonte Carlo Exotic Auto Rifle

This is a solid weapon to have for your battles that are more up close and personal. This is largely in part because of the reduction to your melee cooldown. When you dish out some damage with this gun it will provide a pretty nice reduction to how long it takes for your melee to cooldown. If you are shooting and hitting someone/something over and over again it is capable of reducing your cooldown by more than twenty-five percent.

The Monte Carlo Downsides

Alright, so whats the downside to this gun? Well, I haven’t found Hip Fire to be all that helpful, to be honest. Still need to make use of the sights even when fighting people close up. If you’re not getting in some head shots you’re not likely to be causing your enemies all that much damage, which obviously isn’t very helpful. Its not so great for PvP, so having the Monte Carlo as a nice go to exotic weapon inside of the Crucible is out, sadly.
